National Technology Day

Since 1999 every year on May 11, India celebrates ‘National Technology Day’ to highlight the achievements of our engineers and scientists in the field of technology and science.

The Ministry of Science and Technology sets a theme for National Technology Day every year as a symbol of creativity and scientific inquiry. This day is celebrated by presenting awards to noteworthy individuals, individuals, and businesses for their contribution in the field of technology and science. Technology Development Board (TBD) presents ‘Technology Day Awards’ in three categories namely- Flight Tropht –For successful commercialaisation of Indegenious technology, Feather trophy for MSME for coomercilasing indegenious technology based product and Leaf Trophy– For Start-Ups in development of promising technology for future commercialisation. TBD is first of its kind organization in government framework with the sole objective of commercialisation of indegenious research and technology. TDB plays pro-active role by encouraging enterprises to take up Technology based projects.
